Passengers:

Your safety and satisfaction matter. Journey with ease with us.

To register, call our customer service centre on 0535125004 or visit any Tap & Hop agent at the station. Registration is free.

You’ll need your full name, residential area, phone type (Android/iPhone), date of birth, and Ghana Card for verification. Registration is free—just call us on 0535125004 or visit a Tap & Hop agent at the station.

Registration and the card is FREE for all passengers. We do not charge.

Passengers can pay using the Tap & Hop Card by tapping ON when boarding and tapping OFF when alighting. We’ve mapped out the routes so the system knows the approved deductible fare. The fare is automatically deducted based on the distance travelled.

You can top up conveniently through the Tap & Hop mobile app using your mobile money (all networks). You need to be a smartphone user (android/iPhone).

Immediately contact our customer service team on 0535125004 to report the lost card. The old card will be deactivated immediately, and your existing balance will be transferred to a new card.

If a passenger forgets to Tap Off, the system automatically deducts the fare for the full route. We advise all passengers to remember to Tap Off at their destinations to avoid overcharges. The driver or the mate will also see to it that you Tap Off before you alight.

Yes, the Tap & Hop Card works across all registered vehicles with our system, allowing seamless commuting on different routes.

Yes, luggage charges remain separate and will continue to be paid in cash, just like the current system.

No, each passenger must have their own Tap & Hop Card for trotro/taxi fare payments.

Currently, Tap & Hop is designed for urban transport (trotros and taxis). Expansion to long-distance buses may be considered in the future.

  • Installed GPS tracking for security – Drivers or car owners can track their vehicles in real-time for safety and operational efficiency.
  • Secure earnings – Daily fares are automatically deposited into the owner's account, reducing the risk of theft and cash mismanagement.

Revenue is automatically transferred to the driver’s or owner's nominated account (bank or mobile money) based on their preferred payout schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly).

Yes, Tap & Hop devices can be installed in both new and old vehicles.

No, mates won't be replaced. The mates would play a critical role by ensuring that passengers Tap On and Tap Off correctly.

Tap & Hop isn’t here to take away the mate’s job but to make commuting easier for everyone—drivers, passengers, and yes, mates too.

Passengers who do not have a card will need to pay their fare in cash. However, we encourage all passengers to register for a card for a smoother commuting experience.

The device does not store any cash or money. All fare transactions are securely processed in real time and stored in our central system, preventing any financial loss.

Drivers and vehicle owners will have access to a dashboard via the Tap & Hop mobile app, where they can monitor daily earnings, transaction history, and payout details.
