The Problem We Saw
Every day, millions of commuters in Ghana struggle with the inefficiencies of cash-based transport systems. Change shortages, fare disputes, and security risks are just everyday challenges for riders and operators alike.
We saw an opportunity to change this. Drawing inspiration from successful transit systems in cities around the world, we set out to build a solution tailored specifically for Ghana's unique transport landscape.
Our Solution
Tap & Hop is a contactless payment system designed for public transport. Passengers simply tap a card or phone to pay when they board and tap off when they arrive. The fare is calculated automatically and deducted from their account.
